As a member of the Technology and Platform team, you will be responsible for the developing, changing and improving of project management and delivery of projects and transformation within the business. De Gruyter is initiating its digital transformation and as such needs a strong and established leader to help devise a strategic roadmap and develop a culture of prioritization, delivery and impact through its technology and data strategy. This is a permanent fulltime position based in Berlin.

Your tasks

  • Manage the total overall operation of project and business delivery within the technology and data teams 
  • Become the owner of delivery within the De Gruyter roadmap 
  • Take strategic imperatives from the business and translate them to a deliverable plan with epics / sprints etc
  • Manage and decipher stakeholder requirements into tangible business goals and project plans
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to plans and schedule
  • Develop and analyze monitoring and evaluation data and track key performance indicators as a basis for measuring performance
  • Keep abreast with change, risk and resource management principles 
  • Ensure that program operations and activities are consistent legal guidelines and internal policies

Your profile

  • University degree in management, business development or similar
  • Previous working experience as a Program Lead for 5 years
  • Experience in digital transformation and agile software development projects 
  • Experience of working in cloud infrastructures AWS / Azure and Google Cloud and working with program management software (e.g. Basecamp, Jira etc)
  • In-depth knowledge of program management and development procedures
  • Applicable knowledge of budgeting, data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Outstanding communication in English, interpersonal and leadership skills
